2020 Coaches Spring Pre-season Checklist

Welcome AYL Coaches!

We are preparing for another great season of lacrosse and YOU are at the heart of it. Following is a rundown of the certification, training and rules requirements to be a coach for an NVYLL-sanctioned club. The 2020 season includes the SafeSport training requirement in addition to the concussion training added last year.

Don’t let the list overwhelm you – the vast majority of these items can be done online and the easiest way to accomplish SafeSport / Concussion / and other areas is through the US Lacrosse membership and Level 1 certification.  The only MANDATORY pre-season meeting for AYL coaches is the pre-season NVYLL/US Lacrosse meeting held at Marymount University Sunday, February 23, 2020.

On average, each module takes thirty (30) minutes to complete. The training is good for two years. It is free with a US Lacrosse membership or you pay $20 at https://safesport.org/
